Sunday Reads

One of my favorite things to do on Sunday afternoons when it is cold or rainy is read.  Yes I just sounded like a grandma.  I have been trying to get back into reading more lately.  I have always enjoyed reading as long it is something that interests me.  I do read the popular at the moment books like Twilight, Hunger Games and Fifty Shades of Gray and usually love them.  Some of my favorite books are by Sophie Kinsella and Emily Giffin.

As much as I love a real book I have really come to love reading ebooks on my Kindle Fire.   I can carry with me as many books as I want all in one place which is great because I am one of those people who tend to try to read more than one book at once.

Another perk of the Kindle is that Amazon has a free lending library for Amazon Prime members where you can check out 1 free book a month.  I signed up as a Prime member because I am an Amazon addict, I buy so much from Amazon and if you are a Prime member you get FREE 2 day shipping.  I am a sucker for free shipping.  I hate paying shipping.  I do wish Amazon had a rewards program though because I make so many purchases through them.

Anyway just thought I would share some good books I have read recently.

Beautiful Disaster was a great book, I actually heard about this book through another blog and it did not disappoint.  I have already preordered the second book.    Just click the title to get the description.

Easy was a suggestion on Good Reads.  This one sucked me in as well.  Both books were set in college, maybe that is why I loved it.

Girls in White Dresses was a book I had been meaning to read for a while, it had been suggested on several blogs.  I liked this book but I didn't love it.  It wasn't bad I just felt like when it ended it was like okay thats it?

What are you're favorite books?  I am always looking for new suggestions.

  1. I've been into the Beautiful Creatures series lately. They're bigger books but you fly through 'em!

  2. Well it looks like we have a lot in common in reading style!! Emily Giffin and Sophie Kinsella are 2 of my favorites!! Also LOVE Meg Cabot (the adult books), Megan Hart, Madeline Wickham (which is actually also Sophie Kinsella) and recently discovered Samantha Young. If you liked 50 Shades you will love "Dublin Street". Have you gone to the "goodreads" website? I love it because I can track all the books I've read and they have a reading challenge. You pick how many books you want to read this year and it tracks them for you as you finish. I love reading so much but never give myself enough time to do it so the challenge is a good way to encourage yourself to do it. Plus on the website you learn about so many good books. You're not a grandma-reading is awesome!! (says that nerd that love to read) :)
