This past weekend I was finally reunited with my other half! Last time we saw each other was in October! That is far too long to be separated. The past 4 years we haven't lived further than 50 feet from each other and now we live 3 hours apart! It is tough kids.
Lu is my bestie, my other half, that person I share a brain with. We usually know what the other is thinking before anything is said. We met in college we lived in the same dorm, on the same floor and were in the same rush group and ended up pledging the same sorority and have been attached at the hip since.
I have had several best friends throughout my life but none that really stuck like Lu. I have no doubt we will be besties for life. yo. She has become apart of my family.
We are those besties that you probably would get annoyed with easily. We think we are funnier than others probably think we are. When we talk we jump subject to subject and finish each other sentences. One girl once told some of our friends that we only care about each other. Well that was kinda half true, we like puppies too and food.
We spent the weekend doing our favorite things shopping, eating and drinking. It was a blast.
Then come Sunday morning I realized how out of shape I am, my legs were so sore from shopping all day and evening Saturday. So yesterday I made myself go to the gym and started the Couch 2 5K. I think it will be a pretty good workout and it is only 30 mins. Perfect for me because I get over things quickly and am ready to leave the gym after about 5 mins usually.
I had tried the C25k before but I just timed it on my own and didn't really follow it right, but this time I downloaded the app and it uses the music you have on your phone and I love it so far! So here's to hoping I actually finish it.
YOU CAN DO IT GURRRRRRRLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYES! You can do it!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd having a best friend like that is essential in every girls life :)
My best friend and I are exactly like this! And this really made me want to see her! But sadly, we live 12 hours apart. I'm glad you got to see your other half!
ReplyDeletehow sweet, y'all even kinda look alike. good luck on the couch to 5k, if your serious register for a race then you know you will have to stick to it!
ReplyDeleteI am not looking forward to life as a post grad, far away from my friends! On the bright side, a lot of my friends will be moving to Chicago, only an hour away from my house, so I will be able to visit semi-frequently (I hope). The Couch 2 5K app sounds like something I NEED - I need to get excited about working out.
